A History of Growth
1992
Jaime Dias Moreira founds the company as a sole proprietorship with a non-ferrous metal fitting foundry, subsequently expanding into ferrous and non-ferrous metal trading.
Where It All Began
1996
Official birth of Metais Jaime Dias, Lda. The legal transition that allowed us to scale operations and lay the foundations of a solid corporate structure.

Definitive relocation of operations to the current industrial facilities in Guidões, Trofa.

Joining the national Valorpneu network, the management entity for the environmentally sound reception and processing of used tyres.

By joining the Valorcar network, MJD begins processing end-of-life vehicles and issuing Certificates of Destruction.

2009
Metais Jaime Dias becomes a public limited company (S.A.) and completes the first major industrial park expansion, reaching 40.000 m².

With the installation of the first plasma cutting machine, MJD begins processing steel, marking the start of today's Cutting Centre.

Metais Jaime Dias operates an industrial complex with more than 180.000 m2 of total area, equipped to receive, treat and value different types of industrial waste. This infrastructure ensures efficient sorting, storage, processing and routing, with high standards of security, traceability and environmental compliance.
