Open Day: MJD Metal Cutting Centre
MJD's Metal Cutting Centre opened its doors to clients and partners for a day dedicated to demonstrating live industrial cutting operations.
MJD's Metal Cutting Centre welcomed approximately [N] clients and partners on [date] at its Guidões, Trofa facilities for an Open Day dedicated to metal cutting and processing operations. The goal was simple: place the client in front of the production line and discuss their project.
The programme included a guided tour of the machine park, featuring demonstrations of longitudinal cutting (slitting), custom transverse cutting, high-definition plasma cutting, laser cutting, and forming, led by the technical team executing these tasks daily. Key factors influencing industrial purchasing decisions were addressed along the route: processable thickness and width ranges, guaranteed tolerances, quality control, and response times.
Alongside the technical component, the day allowed time for informal meetings with our technical and commercial teams, as well as a train tour across the entire industrial complex.
We believe that the relationship with a metal processor is built far better on the factory floor than in a slide deck. A cutting line reveals in five minutes what a technical datasheet takes pages to explain — allowing the client to evaluate firsthand the robustness of the process they are hiring. That was the core purpose of this Open Day, and the reason we plan to repeat it.
MJD thanks everyone who visited us for their presence and interest. To those unable to attend, our doors remain open: technical visits to the Cutting Centre can be scheduled Monday through Friday during regular business hours, and quote requests can be submitted via email to orcamento@mjd.pt.
